Since 2020 is a difficult year, I decided to make a post that will help you cheer up a bit. Here you’ll find a list of songs, movies, and books that will come in handy when you’re feeling down.
To make this post even better, I invited Carolyn Overcash to give me some suggestions and talk about her own writing endeavors.
Here’s what Carolyn says:
When you are feeling down watch Pay It Forward: it is uplifting https://www.warnerbros.com/movies/pay-it-forward/ and groups actively promote the message it gives https://www.nevadaappeal.com/news/lahontan-valley/financial-horizons-invites-community-to-pay-it-forward/.
As for a book that makes me laugh, I don’t have one, but the one besides the Bible that made the most impact on my life was Pollyanna and her choice to choose to look for the good in everything.
I’ve written an ebook, “Creating Your Forever Home,” that I am sharing by email and messenger. I’ve posted it to some Facebook groups. [It isn’t in print.] The ebook is formatted as a pdf file, you read it on your computer and print only the pages that you want to use as a workbook. I plan to shorten the ebook before going to paperback, but I need more feedback first. Since the content is Adaptive Organization 4 You, Making Your Today Home Your Forever Home, getting it out for people to use now, became my goal earlier this year.
My husband and I celebrated our fifth anniversary in June 2020. We are both retired and ride motorcycles and are active in our local American Legion unit. My small blog, used it to compile the information contained in the ebook. The website is going to change the blog format starting this month.
Thank you, Carolyn, for your extensive reply and congrats on your anniversary! I’m honored that you accepted my invitation!
Dear readers, I hope you found this post helpful. I’ll leave you with one of my favorite quotes:
“There is only one success – to spend your life in your own way.”
